Every fall, Girls Scouts have the opportunity to fund exciting experiences by taking part in the Sweets & Treats Fall Product Program. Girl Scouts reach out to family and friends to take orders for candies, nuts, magazine subscriptions, and more.
The Sweets & Treats is more than just selling products. It is the starting point of the Girl Scout Entrepreneurial Program where girls begin developing five essential skills: goal setting; decision making; money management; people skills; business ethics. They build self-esteem and learn that they can set goals, budget costs, create a marketing plan, and then go out and make it all happen. This is also considered a stepping stone to the Girl Scout Cookie program.
The Girl Scouts worked hard and it’s now time for their troop leaders to pick up the chocolate and nut items they sold to their local customers. Our delivery schedule is set for November 7th - 9th in various locations throughout our eight county footprint. Volunteers will support our troops and help ensure they receive their correct items from our trucks when they arrive at their scheduled appointment times.
