Overview:
The Leadership Center Reception Host serves as the friendly face of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. This volunteer helps create a welcoming environment for all visitors and provides helpful direction to ensure a smooth and positive experience.


Responsibilities:

Greet guests as they arrive at the Leadership Center. Answer the doorbell and welcome visitors into the building. Direct guests to the Girl Scout store, meeting rooms, or restrooms as needed. Provide general information about the building and programs when appropriate. Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor as a representative of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Join us for a hands-on volunteer day at Camp Wildwood to help maintain our beautiful property for campers! Volunteers will assist with a variety of outdoor improvement projects such as trail clearing, trimming low branches, and light landscape cleanup. These efforts help keep our trails safe, scenic, and ready for use by Girl Scouts and visitors throughout the year.


Details:

Date: Sunday May 17th (registration closes Wednesday 5/13) Location: Camp Wildwood Time: - 2:00pm 5:00pm What to Expect: Projects may include clearing branches and debris, trimming low limbs, or helping restore outdoor program areas. Work will take place outdoors and may involve light to moderate physical activity.Who Can Volunteer: This event is open to all registered Girl Scout volunteers with a completed background check and all registered Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.


What to Wear/Bring:

Long pants Closed-toe shoes or boots Work gloves Hat and bug spray Water bottle (bottled water and drinks will also be provided)

Some tools will be available for use; details will be discussed upon confirmation.


Troops may be present on property during the event; volunteer work will take place in separate areas. Come enjoy a day in the great outdoors, make a tangible impact, and help keep Camp Wildwood ready for adventure!
